Dear President Clinton, - Mark's Journal

Dear President Clinton,
Please feel free to call a scumbag a scumbag. We understand. Love, voters who believe a free press still has some responsibility.

Hillary Clinton's campaign has apologized for "inappropriate" language used by her husband in response to what it called an "outrageously unfair" article about the former president. The article, by Vanity Fair magazine's national editor Todd Purdum, suggested that Bill Clinton's personality had changed since his 2004 heart bypass surgery and said that there were reports of Clinton "seeing a lot of women on the road."

Purdum "didn't use a single name, he didn't cite a single source in all those things he said," said the former president, who added that the article was "part of the national media's attempt to nail Hillary for [Barack] Obama." He said readers should be wary of news accounts that rely on unnamed sources.

Fair is Fair

When I read the article about President Clinton I didn't think anything about it because that story has been around for a long time. The next thing to ask is it true? And if it is, so what? I don't care for the Clintons, but that was not always the case. It was this campaign of Hillary's that soured me on their methodology and campaign strategy. But the bottom line in American politics is sex sells. Had Hillary been found in the arms of another man or women, it would be big news and the same for Obama, Dodd, Edwards, Biden, McCain (OK the last one was too easy). The case remains the same, we are so stuck on where our candidates stick it that we forget that we have a nation to build. Can you imagine Washington and Jefferson running for office today? They'd never make it and we'd never know their greatness. We'd be stuck with media stories about them having affairs with their slaves and we'd listen to hour after hour ad nauseum of break away reports of some ubiquitous interview of another scandal. When will Americans grow up? A nation founded on religious principal and still millions believing in god etc, and you can't find a single one who won't tune in when it comes to Britneys who-hah or Clintons etc. philandering. Who gives a damn? I want the nation fixed and if the candidate was shooting goats from the WH balcony and banging chickens on the back lawn, but fixed taxes, social security, stopped the war, and cleaned up our cities from violence and drugs. Hire that person!

A slime Reporter

A scumbag is just that, a scumbag. Why should President Clinton apologize. It is absolutely incredible that this creep journalist wrote this and could not wait to publish it before the final primaries.

It seems that President and Senator Clinton can do nothing "right". But its ok for 'Reverend Wright and that other "Minister" to make scathing remarks about America and Senator Clinton. Obama gets a free pass knowing these creeps. He apologizes, "disowns" them and everyone goes back to bashing President and Senator Clinton. This is who we Democrats are nominating!

Partly because of the lousy, biased journalism and the free ride Obama received that doomed Senator Clinton. Obama is weezing to the finish line. I read in paper that out of the last 13 contests, Obama only won 6! Yet, the journalist kept asking Senator Clinton to resign!

I firmly believe in a free press. Yet, I think journalists have an editorial obligation to treat news with an eye towards relevancy and not just selling magazines. I think journalists should take a long hard look at their actions this past Democratic primary season. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves!

Perhaps this Vanity Fair writer can get a job w/ Star...

And if you have noticed that President clinton is angry, why ever would you want to make him angrier?
