In 1974, as a visitor to Ithaca, I was taken, late at night, to the Hot Truck by my friend. She was right - he made *the* best meatball sub I had ever had. The fact that I recall the sub as the highlight of the evening says it all ...

Sorry to hear about the loss. I lost an Uncle last night. A good friend managed to cheer me up via IM, then posted it on LJ.

A shame about your uncle, but I'm glad to see you have such a good friend. :-)

Having good friends with the ability to smile at life can make things better any time!

Awww... I remember getting Hot Truck when I went to visit my psychoboyfriend at Cornell in 1988. I thought it was a) the best pizza ever and b) the best idea ever. (On part a, I may have been intoxicated; part b I was definitely correct.)

I miss shortstop and their cool personalized sandwiches. I'm thinking of heading to i-town in march, btw...
