Never seen the tatties and neeps mashed together like that. It'd be lovely I imagine, just never seen it. Also, have you made a pate from the haddock there?

I think they've generally been mashed together at the Brae Loch. And, yes, I'd assigned the finnan haddie to Mark, and he said "It's a dip, right?" as he cooked it. I said "Not usually, but that sounds good!" He served it with the croutons seen in the bowl. It smelled and tasted exactly right, even though it was an odd form. :-)

Trying to track down an image of a hot open face turkey sandwich that I saw on Flicker.
