I'm glad this didn't happen to MY plane today...


Air France Flight 007 was taxiing away from Terminal 1 for takeoff when one of its massive wings clipped the tail of Delta Connection Flight 6293 operated by a Comair Bombardier CRJ-700 (N641CA), arriving from Boston

Ahh doesn't play from the embedding, plays if you click the full article link though. Scary stuff. Did they just not see the other plane? I'm not getting how this happened.

And that, folks, is why we keep our seatbelts on for taxi! That little plane was apparently taxiing to the gate...and you KNOW there are always folks unbuckle the second the plane touches down. I'm glad everyone is OK. Sure, it was "like a pothole" to the people on the big plane, but the little plane spun around 90 degrees, so there are probably quite a few folks who need some clean undies. Yikes.
