Good idea!
Wedding free zoneI mean, I'm as enamoured of the British monarchy as the next American, and yes, of course, I think Miss Middleton is gorgeous and is likely as sweet as has been reported, but I can certainly sympathise with those Brits who've gotten sick of the story and will want to find a bit of escape come next Friday.

Even more, I sympathise with any tourists who might have unwittingly elected to visit the UK next week, and find themselves surrounded.

When the hubbub dies down in a few weeks, I bet tourism will be down slightly, as well. I should try to get back over that way soon.

I've a pair of friends in Oxford who just this week got their "Leave of Indefinite Stay" -- and are taking a vacation to Prague next week, in part to avoid the Royal Wedding hubbub.

I just realized that my BIL is one of those unwitting tourists. Hee! The comic possibilities abound :-)

Maybe he'll bring you back a commemorative wedding doily.

Or a commemorative lock of Kate's hair.

I'm planning to be on some Hebridean island, with no TV. My first thought whenever I hear anyone talking about the royals is "Oh for god's sake, get off your knees."

And, for another perspective, I'm actually taking the damn day off on Friday to "attend" the Royal Wedding! :-)

Norfolk Flat will be anything but a Wedding Free Zone!

The British probably aren't generally too annoyed -- they get a bank holiday, after all.
