An uneventful trip, until... (214.0)
As we were making our final approach over the bay into San Francisco Airport, suddenly the plane did two quick, sharp banks, the jet engines leapt in pitch, and the plane started climbing instead of continuing to drift downward. The flight attendant in the jumpseat across from me and I raised our eyebrows at each other.

I then resumed looking out the window to enjoy the incredible view as we continued north over downtown San Francisco, a view I've never gotten to see! It wasn't until a few minutes later, after we'd come around over the ocean to head back towards the airport, that the pilot came on the speaker to let us know that another plane had unexpectedly taken too long to get off the runway.

That blew our early arrival, but the view was worth it. I hopped a cab into the Mission, and joined Dina and friends out for drinks and tacos. (Mmmm, tacos.) Today's been a pretty relaxed and relaxing day, which I think was just what I needed. There was even a brief nap. And I delivered your hug, Coral! Off to a BBQ. More later!

That happened to me years ago in Chicago when the plane ahead of us missed *all 5* exits he could have taken. That one was freaky cause we were virtually on the ground, like, feet off the ground, so we essentially took off again.

YIKES! Glad you made it safe :) If you ever wander to the Sacramento area, lemme know and I'll take you out for some good eats! I suspect you would be a big fan of Squeese Inn-best burgers EVER!
