A couple of quick ones from the loan company that I was reminded of by a conversation elsewhere
1. Yes your automatic debit for your payments was stopped by us. Yes, that has made you several months behind. No, we are not going to remove your late fees and credit reporting because you, like "any sane and rational person" assumed that mean your account was paid off. A sane and rational person would have opened the mail saying why it was canceled, would have known their account balance was still over $5k (at least, I don't remember the exact amount), and would have noticed the overdraft on their bank account that caused the whole thing.* It doesn't matter how many supervisors you demand to talk to, we are not going to fix your mistake.
*The terms you agree to when signing up for the autodebit clearly state that it will be canceled on the fist NSF, and you will never set it up on that bank account again. (that last part might be a bit harsh, but not my rule)
More of a WTF, but it happened quite frequently. 2. No, nobody in this company can set your auto debited payment to come out more than once a month. We can easily change your due date, but you still only have one a month. I'm sorry that you can't afford $100 once a month, only $50 twice a month (wtf!) but there is nothing I can do, and it doesn't matter how much you cry or scream, remembering to go online/sending a check is the only way that one will happen.

I work at Disney World. Today, I do not hide that fact, as I feel that doing so would imply levity in a situation that doesn't warrant it.
As you may have heard, around 2AM on July 5th (I.E. just a few hours after the 4th of July fireworks), two monorails collided at Walt Disney World's Transportation and Ticket Center. One of the drivers was killed in the accident. I'm thanking the Lord right now that it wasn't my fiance. She drives monorails, was working that night, and driving a train. Thankfully, I was on the phone with her just after it occurred, so I knew she was okay. But the entire Monorail family is in shock and saddened right now. My fiance cried for nearly 2 hours following the news. Suffice it to say, the monorail system was shut down yesterday. Disney increased the number of buses and ferryboats to accomodate all the needs of the extra guests. But my fiance and all the other cast members were waiting for it, and around 2PM Sunday, a friend told her it had finally happened.
A guest launched into a tirade at the cast members present, saying he didn't care that there had been an accident, that he DIDN'T CARE that a driver had died, and that he should be COMPENSATED because his family would not be able to ride the monorail.
If my fiance had been there...she might not have a job right now, and he might not have a LIFE. I cannot IMAGINE how anyone can be so completely insensitve and self-absorbed in their own world to actually speak the words that THEY DON'T CARE THAT SOMEONE DIED.
