feather free hotel room?

Yeah, I'm allergic to feathers! Down pillows and comforters are very comfortable, but only until I stop being able to breathe.

oh I got the concept (that you're allergic) I just never thought there'd be such an accommodating hotel! that's awesome! do most hotels have rooms as such?

Not usually just sitting and waiting, but most hotels that have feather pillows, or more recently, feather comforters and duvets and mattress pads, can swap them out if a guest is allergic. Non-feather pillows is in my Marriott Rewards profile, so gets sent to the hotel with each reservation.

That is awesome! I mean I LOVE my feathered stuff so it doesn't apply to me - but I do have friends that are allergic and they are always toting their own pillows and such with them when they travel; I imagine that can get tiresome.

I have an inflatable one in the suitcase for emergencies, but it's not very comfy. I love feather pillows, but I like breathing even more. I've been happy with some of the new fake-down stuff. The SF Marriott and some Hamptons have been using that.
