If you're relatively new to my journal, you may not know that our mother was diagnosed with leukemia several years ago. After a few years with no treatments, she went through a course of chemo earlier this year, and she's now in remission. It was a treatment that didn't exist when she was first diagnosed, and it was developed thanks to support from the LLS -- support from our friends and family, including quite a few of you! Thank you!
Some of you chipped in to sponsor my mother in last month's Light the Night Walk, and if you're willing and able to donate even a few dollars in support of my brother's 109-mile ride this weekend, we'd appreciate that, too. (See also tucsonorbust for more about the ride.)
