Even though I own both...
I'm wearing neither Army nor Navy gear while watching today's Army-Navy football game. And I'm enjoying watching, even though I'm behind (watching via TiVo) and keep seeing scores from much later in the game. :-)

The new Army uniforms, with camouflage helmets and pants, really amuse me. I think the Black Knights lose something by giving up the bright gold, but I can also appreciate the symbolism. Liz cleverly quipped that the black-and-camo may be why the Army guys can't see each other and thus aren't accomplishing much!

Navy has spiffy new uniforms on the field, too, with yellow and red stripes down the legs reminiscent of the USMC's stripe, but unlike Army's, they really just look like football uniforms.

Watching the game is bringing back fond memories of enjoying the game on TV on the West Point campus a couple of times, while in town for holiday parties at the USMA Officers Club. I don't think we managed to watch the game the one time we were at USNA in Annapolis the day of the game. Those are two facilities that sure know how to throw a party.

Army and Navy

You seem to be missing some attire, young man.

Do I need to update your wardrobe with some Air Force garb?

What's your size?

This is unacceptable! You must have something Air Force to wear, even if we're not playing!

Re: Army and Navy

Aye-aye, Airman! I'm mostly size L for shirts, unless they're cut small. I've actually seen Air Force play. Been a while. :-)
