Liverpool takes a stand against homophobia

Rainbow FlagThe city of Liverpool (no, not the one in Central New York) will fly a rainbow flag from town hall this Sunday to mark the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia. Liverpool is apparently the only major city in England that doesn't have a pride event, and was the location where a gay teenager was beaten to death last year. (A jury acquitted the suspect by a 10-2 vote.)
