I'm sure not going to ride a bike 109 miles...

But since my brother is, perhaps you'd be willing to help him out!

Jeff's riding 109 miles in El Tour de Tucson again -- it's his third time -- to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In fact, he's the fundraising captain for the NYC chapter of Team in Training, and his own goal is to raise $20,000, to top last year's $16,548 and the first year's $15,395.

Those are big numbers, but every little bit helps. If you can donate even just a few bucks, please do. If you can donate more than a few bucks, note that Jeff will dedicate one of the 109 miles to you if you donate $109 or more, and will bake you a pecan pie if you donate $250 or more. (It's really good pie.)

This is a major family effort, not just because fighting leukemia is so important but because our mother was diagnosed with leukemia several years ago. Last month marked a year in remission for her, after a successful treatment that had been developed by doctors funded by LLS after she was diagnosed. I can think of no clearer way of saying that LLS is doing outstanding and important work, and deserves our support.

Please donate here! Thank you!
