Ah well

The last couple of days, I've had to leave the house too early to be able to take the time to get leftovers together to bring for lunch. Today, I finally had time. I dished out some of the leftover jambalaya into a container and wrapped a piece of leftover chicken. Both went into a plastic bag. I bet they're still on the kitchen counter, because I realized as I walked from the garage to Rhodes that I didn't have it with me.

I briefly considered turning around and going back home to get the leftovers, but the idea of having to walk back up to the top level of the parking garage, and spiral aaaaaaaaallllll the way back down to the bottom to get out, made that seem less fun.

I don't mind having to buy lunch; I do that plenty as it is. I do, however, feel sorry for the poor abandoned food that's sitting out on my counter. I could run home at lunchtime and it would probably be safe, but if I don't do that (and I doubt I will), I don't think I can consider it safe after it sits out all day, even in a 58 degree house.
