A little about me...

Interview with the dyanearden

1. Where is your favorite place to go to lunch?

2. I've noticed that you travel a lot (lucky). Where would you like to go back to?

3. What clothing do you feel most comfortable in?

4. Do you have a dream residence? What would it be like?

5. How do you relax when really stressed?

1. Where is your favorite place to go to lunch?

Lunch has never gotten my juices flowing. I enjoy lunch sometimes, but it's never that exciting. Wings Over Ithaca and Bistro Q are great. I rarely get to Q in the middle of the workday. Little Thai House. Tap. Pita Pit. Subway.

2. I've noticed that you travel a lot (lucky). Where would you like to go back to?

I definitely feel lucky that my parents got me in the travel habit very young. I want to go back to France, where I haven't been in 14 years. Scotland, where I just went two months ago! The Caribbean. England, Italy, Spain. That's not counting the many places I haven't been, but want to visit.

3. What clothing do you feel most comfortable in?

None, when circumstances allow, such as at home or in a hot tub with good friends. Otherwise, jeans or khakis and henley or polo shirt. Sandals, instead of socks and shoes, when weather allows.

4. Do you have a dream residence? What would it be like?

It would be a house with a little character, i.e. not a mass-produced shoebox. A bit of lawn, some trees. Attached garage, so on really cold mornings I don't have to go outside to get to the car. Enough driveway space, or room along the road, so lots of friends can park when I have a party!

Big kitchen. I'm thrilled with my kitchen now, and would hate something smaller. Counter space, island, double sink are things I would be unhappy losing. Bigger refrigerator/freezer would be nice. Gas stove and oven, perhaps with one of those built-in grill/griddle thingies.

Carpeting in bedrooms, hardwood floors in living room and dining room. Heated tile in bathrooms. Large enough bathtub for me to bathe in comfortably.

Hot tub. Deck. Perhaps together!

Good-sized master bedroom, lots of closet space. Two more bedrooms, one mostly an office but with a couch, and the other a dedicated guest bedroom.

200 linear feet of bookshelves.

A bar with proper barstools, loads of glasses, a beer fridge, and room for all the booze.

Separate living room and entertainment room. Lots of natural light in the living room, and none in the entertainment room!

This question was a fun exercise! Thanks!

5. How do you relax when really stressed?

I very rarely get really stressed, which is good, because it's not easy for me to relax when I'm that stressed.

Performing a full-body massage for a woman with a nice body is very relaxing for me, most of the time. (It's also often arousing! But that's another question.) A long drive with loud music often helps immensely, especially involving hills. Good whisky, though I try to avoid needing to drink. Reading is sometimes good. Walking.
