The TSA is holding fast in its new security-theatre policies, despite uproar from travelers and despite general acknowledgement that the new measures don't increase actual security. But...

It's good to see some cracks starting to appear. Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel. :)

I have to agree, though. This doesn't increase security... a truly determined human being will find a way to do what they want to do, regardless of the road blocks we try to throw up in place. All this is really doing is disenfranchising the traveling public and setting them against the TSA.

It's bad policy, and needs to go away now, but I know you know that. :)

I hope that more people choose to avoid flying where possible, and that it has an actual effect in showing that the TSA protocols truly are not functioning reasonably. I'm sad that it's become a perceived necessity to practically molest people in order to check for contraband, I'm sad that anyone in their right mind can know we have to watch out for things - but we can't become that which we're battling, in the fight against harm.
