That is one fabulous photo!! Really. I love the expressions on both of your faces and the action in the background. I can almost hear it!

at the risk of being the grumpy person,

could you PLEASE put *all* pictures behind a cut? the screen I'm viewing my flist on is 800x600 rez and the pic is messing with everything. I had to reboot twice to get control back.

also, as Sal and Lane are so fond of reminding us, not everyone is on broadband and having to wait for dial-up to scan the image leaves one time to take a long soak in the tub :(

Images in LiveJournal posts in general, and images in my posts in particular, are unlikely to go away. I personally find it irritating to have to follow a cut tag to read the entirety of someone's post, so I never perpetrate that annoyance on my readers except when a post is unusually long or on the rare occasion I feel a content warning is in order.

Also, I generally post images at a reasonable size (this one's well under 800 pixels wide) and always provide the size attributes, so the web browser knows how much space to leave for the image and can go ahead and display the rest of the page without having to wait for the image to load first.

However, there's a way to hide images on everyone's posts as you read your Friends page, which J.C. kindly dug up for you when I mentioned your tragic plight. See the "Image Placeholders" portion of this page.
