In case you were curious... (214.6)
The cheap boil-in-the-bag Cajun salmon was really tasty, in a vaguely ketchupy (but in a good way) and very spicy Cajun sauce. The bag says they've provided a generous portion of sauce to cover your rice or potatoes and vegetables, and they're not kidding. This is only about half the sauce.

BOGO SalmonThe plate looks a bit bare, because I really didn't bother with side dishes. I had the last of the shrimp from Saturday's tailgate as an appetizer while this boiled. If I'd really been planning a proper meal, I could've roasted or steamed some veggies and made a little rice to go with this, in the same 15 minutes. (Start to finish took longer; the water had to boil first.) I regretted skipping them, as this left me still a tad hungry, but eating less is good for me.

I'd rather start with fresh fish and grill or bake or what have you, but these frozen fillets, in sauce that at least doesn't seem to have any nasty ingredients, look like they'd be worth keeping in the freezer for emergencies. Of course, I won't always be able to get them for $1.50 a portion, but even at the full price of $5 a portion, it's not unreasonable.

Since my surgery I eat a lot of tilapia and Salmon. I get the steam in bag packages from BJ's or Wegmans. Since I only cook for me it works out great. Those sound pretty good but I think the sauce might be too much for me. Does it have sugar in it?
