It looks as though, in early 2008, I was hovering around 198-203, which would be perfectly reasonable. I'd like to get and stay under 200, but I'd also be happy staying within a few pounds of it. Continuing to eat a lot of salads at lunchtime will probably continue to help, along with generally eating and drinking less.
The 205.4 the other day looks great, of course, but it was right after Yom Kippur! Even eating lightly for a couple of days after that wasn't going to stop me from at least putting back some water weight after 24 hours with zero food and drink. So, I'm not worried about adding a couple since then. (The intervening meals also include an all-afternoon Sunday brunch and a big BBQ dinner plus two beers in Syracuse last night.)
I have no illusion that I'm going to be "skinny" anytime soon, but I already feel less like I'm overweight, and a reasonable goal weight feels much more attainable than I've considered it in quite some time.
