Chaucer online!

I'm really amused at how excited I was to discover in sylvie and dyanearden's posts that the first and second Caxton editions of Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales are online.

One of my absolute favourite classes in college was Bob Kaske's Chaucer class. We spent most of the semester reading the Canterbury Tales... a collection of stories told by pilgrims on their way to Canterbury. It's some of the funniest and raciest writing out there, and it's well worth reading! You can look at images from the Caxton printings or read text transcripts.

This'll probably also get me to pull out my dusty big hardcover edition.
