Screwy...

My new post overwrote one from last week... but kept the comments. Here's the original.

The Swiss Army Knife has taken a leap into cyberspace with the latest addition to its ever-expanding range of tools. The "Memory USB" army knife includes a "flash memory stick," a piece of technology which has become increasingly popular with computer users over the past few months.

Smoky Tarry

In addition to the usual selection of teas in the kitchen upstairs, mostly Bigelow varieties, including my favorite, Constant Comment... today there's a box of Numi Smoky Tarry Lapsang Souchong Black Tea.

The first step in the directions is "Appreciate how fresh water comes to a boil." :-)

The tea has a delicious, smoky aroma and flavor, and I'm trying to decide what it reminds me of. I think it's a bit of incense and a bit of Slim Jim memories from my summer camp days. Very evocative smell, and very good tea.

SixQuestions.com...

I've been having fun poking around SixQuestions.com for a few minutes, having been referred to it this morning. You can accumulate points by answering trivia questions, participating in opinion polls, and referring new users. Points can be redeemed for some neat prizes, such as an iPod mini, as well as gift certificates for places like Best Buy, Marshall Fields, Target, and the MLB Shop.

Give it a try. :-) If you sign up and aren't impressed... hey, at least I get points for referring you. ;-)

"There really is nothing better than a good grilled cheese, is there?"

I've seen lots of autopsy scenes on TV over the years, but all of a sudden in the last several weeks, they've all gotten much more graphic. They're doing awfully realistic-looking pulled-open thoracic cavities, organs, and guts. I've noticed it on Navy NCIS and Crossing Jordan recently. Someone must've invented some new fake body innards that are making the rounds of Hollywood.

Lots of TiVo to catch up on before new shows start up again in a few days.
