Relax

A night doing nothing of consequence was called for. Relaxed with Alan (no, not you, the other one) over an herb oil and asiago cheese flatbread at the Queen of Tarts, then adjourned to his place to eat some cheese (including a couple of great Stiltons) and drink some wine (a good Cabernet Sauvignon) on the deck. Enjoyed a cigar, played with the dog, and chatted with his housemate when she was done with some work on her laptop.

I think the dog and I tired each other out playing tug-of-war with the rope. :-) Off to bed.

Lecture of a Lifetime

I heard earlier this week about Randy Pausch, the Carnegie Mellon computer science professor who's dying of cancer and gave his last lecture on campus in front of a 400-member audience, but I didn't realize I was going to have a chance to watch it. Thanks to a friend of a friend, I just had that chance. You should take it, too.
