Potato soup!

I posted yesterday's potato soup recipe in recipe_sharing, which you should feel free to join and contribute to!

This morning, having been woken up at 7:30 by Jeff from the radio station calling to say the web site was down (it wasn't), I had some extra time to relax a bit. I sat on the deck in shirt and boxers enjoying a cup of coffee, only realizing towards the end that I was wearing my coffee boxers! (Pattern of coffee beans and the word "coffee" over and over.)

Can't imagine there'll be more than another handful of mornings I can sit outside before it gets chilly, so I'm glad I took the opportunity. Similarly glad to have gotten to Six Mile Creek for a walk and a dip before dinner last night. Dinner was very good and very relaxing, and lasted much longer than expected! So much for getting out to acappellasinger's house to buy his lawnmower.

There are two large soup take-out containers (like large portions of soup come from Taste of Thai in) full of leftover soup, one of them in the basement freezer... which is finally clean (thanks to Joy) and plugged in. I took advantage of my buy-one-get-one-free london broil raincheck the other day, so I have a couple of those, some ground beef, and some chicken breasts frozen. I'll probably also stock up on emergency backup bags of frozen veggies (I prefer fresh, but it's nice to have something in the freezer when you want veggies and don't feel like a run to the store), and maybe some ice cream. Any other suggestions for the freezer?
