Discovery ready to roll!

The United Space Agency staff is making its final set of checks to make sure Discovery is ready to depart the Vehicle Assembly Building for its seven-hour trip to launch pad 39B, about four miles away.

It's the first shuttle rollout since December 2002, when Columbia was moved to the launch pad for its ill-fated mission. Thousands of people have been working for the last two years to get the shuttle program ready to return to flight, and I'm very pleased that Discovery is ready to go! They're planning to launch sometime from mid-May on.
