¿No entiendo la leche caliente?

I'm kind of amused to discover that the instructions on this Quaker Instant Oatmeal box are different in the English vs Spanish versions. The microwave directions are essentially identical, suggesting up to 2/3 cup of water or milk. But the other, first set of directions, calls for only hot water in the English, but hot milk or water in the Spanish. (Actually, it says "hot milk or boiling water.")

Why does Quaker leave out the hot milk option for their English-speaking clientele? Should we conclude that Americans don't know how to heat milk any more?
