A good Hogmanay to you!

Wow... that's three times in the last ten minutes I've seen a reference to Hogmanay, the Scottish celebration of the New Year, and I think it's the first three times. The first of the three was when I opened the small package that arrived in the mail from Switzerland... containing whisky tasting-notes cards from the folks who make Talisker. Neat! The remaining two were in LiveJournal.

I don't remember hearing of it before, though it's entirely possible it simply sailed in one ear and out the other.

How do you pronounce Hogmanay?
