Thanks to traceroo for the prod to remind everyone to change your smoke detector batteries! Doing this twice a year, when the clocks change for Daylight Saving Time, is a good habit to get into. If you live somewhere where the clocks don't change, I'd suggest changing your smoke detector batteries while the rest of us are changing our clocks. :-)
To those who've said, "Oh, smoke detector batteries should last at least a year," I'd say, "Are you willing to bet your life on that?" I know I have friends who are alive because of fresh batteries in their smoke detectors, and that's enough for me.
Don't have a fresh battery on hand today? That's OK, get one soon!
