Yup, I thanked a veteran today.

When I saw a man walk into the ticket window lobby at the fieldhouse on campus tonight with a USS The Sullivans cap, before the hockey game, I took the opportunity to ask him if he was a veteran. He said he was, and I thanked him, and shook his hand. Much less abstract that way. :-)

Lots of frustrating and exciting hockey this weekend, beginning with last night's come-from-behind victory over Harvard, followed by tonight's not-too-unexpected loss. Poor passing and puck control were rampant, and Dartmouth was too good. Happily, two goals in the last minute made it a 3-2 loss instead of a 3-0 shutout.

This afternoon's club hockey game, featuring sauronhaspnkeye, was much more successful, though. The Cornell women's club team defeated the Syracuse University team, 5-0.

Late dinner at [info]Joe's with Staci. They had a pretty dead night thanks to the steady (and often heavy) rain, and we got there after the hockey game just in time to be seated. Pizza and a Pint for $10!
