LOTS of ketchup, coming right up...

Larry King just made the public announcement that Tammy Faye Messner died yesterday morning. She had appeared on "Larry King Live" the night before, in an interview taped earlier in the week. She was famous for being the wife and TV partner of televangelist Jim Bakker, and she was living with inoperable cancer that doctors had stopped trying to treat this spring. I didn't have a lot of respect for her former husband, but she always seemed a lot more genuine, and a lot more human.

On her Web site, she wrote on Monday, "I crave hamburgers and french fries with LOTS of ketchup! When I can eat that again, it will be a day of victory!"
