His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, is speaking at Cornell at 2pm EDT today. You can watch this, tomorrow morning's State Theatre talk, and tomorrow afternoon's Ithaca College talk, live online.

None of my browsers on my work computer seem configured with the RealPlayer plugin that Cornell has chosen to support. (It asks you if you want QuickTime or RealPlayer, or broadband speed or low speed, and then says "Haha, your choice is irrelevant, you only get to pick broadband RealPlayer.") But, being creative, I grabbed the actual streaming video link out of the page's source code, and pasted it into RealPlayer's "Open Location" dialog box. You can, too:
Might as well set it up now so you don't have to wrestle with configuring RealPlayer as the talk is starting in a half hour! And, resist any urge to click anything other than the "download free player" links at real.com. They desperately want you to sign up for a "free trial" of their pay services. You don't have to.
If you're in Ithaca, you can also watch on CUTV channel 100, or Time Warner Cable channel 16, or in Bailey Hall or Call Auditorium in Kennedy Hall. If you're on campus, you can use a multicast streaming video player like VLC set to 18.104.22.168 port 4444. Much less crappy video than via RealPlayer.
