Jeez, this shouldn't be this difficult. I know I could wing it, and I've cooked sausage before, but I was poking around to find some tasty recipes for how to prepare tonight's lamb sausage. All the recipes that are coming up are for making sausage from scratch, or for turning sausage into other things. Most of the recipes that aren't for making sausage start off with cooked sausage. Grr.
The recipes for preparing bangers and mash seem the best solution, and one is coming with a story about a guy who refuses to buy supermarket sausage, and only gets the fresh stuff from the butcher. I think I'd enjoy eating with him. :-) He never uses a skillet; he roasts in a medium oven.
