Seventh shutout topples 35-year-old record!

The Big Red men's ice hockey team closed out its regular season with the first Cornell win at Yale since head coach Mike Schafer's first year, topping the Bulldogs 3-0 for sophomore goaltender David LeNeveu's record-setting seventh shutout of the season. The mark replaces Ken Dryden's 1967-68 six-shutout record season, which LeNeveu tied last Friday night.

Cornell clinched the season Ivy League title last weekend, and the ECAC regular season title last night. The Red, ranked second in the nation, have a bye in next weekend's first round of the ECAC tournament, then has home ice for the quarterfinal round the following weekend, March 14th-16th, against one of the first-round winners.
